April 2010 The students are currently studying for their Masters degree in Quality Management and were on a two-week exchange programme in Wales. As part of this programme various trips were set up to enable the students to see how quality management works in practice within different manufacturing settings. Our day was split in half with a presentation being conducted by our Quality Consultant, Glyn Jones. This talk emphasised the importance of a fully functional management system and how this then operates within the print industry. Following this a tour of our factory illustrated the flow of work through each production department. The day proved to be a very enjoyable experience for all concerned and many topics were discussed during the Q&A sessions. The students were very enthusiastic and were intrigued by both the state of art printing presses and vintage cylinder presses.
